Age 46
Family Builder's labourer, Venus Cottage, Two Mile Ash. Son of Mark and Ellen Bradford, he married 1895 to Elizabeth Annie Gumm, who moved to 5 Percy Road, Horsham. They had two children. At the time his brother Walter Richard was baptised at Southwater Church on 8th July 1877 his father Mark was a gardener.
At the time his own son Mark James was baptised here in 1898 the family was living at Two Mile Ash. His medals were returned and disposed of by the London Regiment on 28th September 1922.
Cemetery The site of the cemetery was a factory barracksrun as a hospital by Australian Army Nurses- QAIMNS - Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service.
