Enlisted 3.10.1910. In 1911 he was in Windsor barracks.
Died 28th September 1915
Age 24
Family Charles was baptised 8.2.1891 at Southwater the son of railway porter William Howell and his wife Mary, one of at least six children.
His family lived at Myrtle Cottages, Station Road
His name was read out at a memorial service held in the church 15.9.1915
